The Town of Stratford, with the Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee, is working to update Stratford’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Plan identifies potential natural and human caused hazards throughout the town and various ways to mitigate their effects. All residents, neighboring communities, businesses, and interested parties are invited to participate in the process of updating the Plan and to publicly voice their concerns regarding the Plan at the Stratford Town Office–1956 US Rt 3, Stratford, NH–during the following times:
- September 2nd, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
- September 9th, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
- September 23rd, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
- September 30th, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
Additionally, people are invited to take the Weather Incident & Hazard Survey and share information and opinions on hazards in town.
The full cost of the damage resulting from natural and human caused disasters is difficult to measure, but having a Plan in place can help lessen their impacts and ensure our community remains strong in the event of an emergency.
