In early August of this year, the ground mount solar power array near the Salt Shed was finally completed and is online! This additional 50 kw array will now be satisfying the rest of the Town’s electrical energy demands and saving many dollars of operational expense.
The next step will be the installation of another solar array on the pavilion in the North Village to power heat pumps for the Library and Town Hall as well as a Level 2 EV charging station by the library.
