Dog Officer

The Dog Officer is responsible for enforcing town ordinances and state laws pertaining to the welfare and control of domestic dogs. The officer responds to reports of abuse or other complaints, and picks up and impounds stray animals. He is also considered the local rabies control authority.

The Dog Officer is appointed by the Selectboard and acts on an as-needed basis. Please contact Mario directly if you have any concerns or complaints about dogs within the community.
