As the 2026 election year begins, the position of Town Moderator is still vacant. A moderator holds a key position, overseeing town meetings and elections while ensuring they run smoothly and according to established rules.
In New Hampshire, the Town Moderator is typically an elected official, chosen by ballot vote every two years at the Annual Town Meeting.
Interested individuals have to be a registered voter of the Town of Stratford and be willing to familiarize themselves with the rules and procedures governing elections as well as the Annual Town Meeting.
See here for a full description of the moderator’s responsibilities and duties.
For more information, please contact the Town Clerk.
