New Historical Marker

Nov 3, 2025 | News

The State of NH has installed new sign, located by the Library Pavilion, marking the history of the Town’s water supply. It outlines the events leading up to the need for a town water system, to the building of the water reservoir on Kimball Brook. After having been decommissioned for almost 30 years, the reservoir and dam were finally removed in 2024 to reinstate the brook’s natural water flow.

Please visit the “About” menu to learn more about the Kimball Brook Dam Removal, including lots of pictures.

Another new tab – Historic Places & Markers – lists and describes the various buildings in Stratford that are listed on the State and National Historic Register.
