The Stratford Grange continues its Homesteading series with a workshop on sourdough starter. It takes place on Saturday, May 10, from 3 pm – 5 pm at Fuller Town Hall, lower level, located at 845 US Rt. 3, North Stratford, NH.
The first ingredient for sour dough bread is a good starter. Wendy Covell will teach participants how to make the starter at Stratford Grange’s workshop.
Bring a straight-walled jar (like a jelly jar) to take a small amount of starter home. Participants can feed and grow the starter to make bread or pancakes and more. Wendy will provide the dehydrated starter.
There is no cost to attend this event, and it is open to the public from New Hampshire and Vermont. Registration is not required!
